Celtic Birth

Celtic Birth

Every day we die a little more. Every morning we are reborn stronger—wiser from experience. — Celtic Birth, acrylic on canvas, spin-style action painting.

30 × 30 inch, a.k.a. 77 × 77 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

Dark Matter Original Painting

Dark Matter

I imagine dark matter to be like the sand on a cymatics (Chladni) plate. Vibration or dark-energy resonance and wave patterns permeating the universe and creating discernible pattern—aka structure—in small perspectives of deep time. As that dark energy coalesces together, its mass or electromagnetism (or probably something really cool I don’t even know about) creates the attraction that pulls matter to its skin. So here we are: the microcosm riding on the shirt sleeve of the macrocosm.

24 × 48 inch, a.k.a. 62 × 123 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

Roth-ish Original Painting

Roth-ish

My sis said, “Oh, you’re painting Rothko?” I said, “I have no idea. I’m just painting.” Creativity and strategy are opposite ends of the spectrum. Even scientifically divided between right side and left side of the brain. It’s so hard to not think, label, and plan your creation. The human condition pushes us to need meaning in the things we do. Yet, in doing so we diminish creativity’s true nature: pure expression in the absence of ego and consciousness. — KJ — Original Available

24 × 48 inch, a.k.a. 62 × 123 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

SUN Original Painting

SUN

I wonder what the sun feels like now. Once Ra, God of the great Egyptian Pharaohs. Praised by the mighty Persians as Mithras under its tortuous heat. Before monotheism, all peoples, cultures, and beliefs praised this rising savior as a God. Now these names are found more often printed in baby-name books and spoken by those cursing its inceptor for its relentless attack on their air-conditioning bill. I see you, sun. Don’t fall. Our ego and ignorance do not change your hold on us all.

Original Piece: 30 × 40 inch, a.k.a. 77 × 102 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

We Are Matter Original Painting

We Are Matter

All matter, matters. By definition. Collapsing from the wave function of the quantum ALL, we coalesce around the mass of Newtonian physics that bind us to what we call reality and, most notably, into our unique self. This transition from wave to particle limits our potential from the All, but we are given the gift of self-awareness and the ability to appreciate the microcosm of our experience. — KJ

Limited Original Piece: 36 × 60 inch, a.k.a. 92 × 154 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

We Are Spectrum Original Painting

We Are Spectrum

Human nature craves order from the perceived chaos. Language has given us the ability to define, so now we live by those definitions. Caged by our own need to belong, we say, “I am this” and “You are that.” I am not a happy person, I am not a sad, angry, or any one-thing person. I am a person existing in a moment, somewhere on a scale, between or at the extremes. Moment to moment, day to day, I slide along it… until a job interview… or a date… or my dad asks what I want to be when I grow up. Then suddenly, I have to be one of them. This is a social construct: a need to define order from the chaos. Resist.

oBlack Hole 100 copy

Black Hole

IF I MUST DIE, let me do it in a black hole. Let me tell our ancestors what I learned. To return to the singularity after living a life of entropy seems to be the truest cycle of existence in this form. I have spent eons of energy to repair the result of living many lives. I’ve tried and failed. I’ve tried and succeeded. Many times over. Either result pushes me back to the exploration of my mind’s next meal and back to adding my energy to return my life to balance and order. Crush me back to The All so I can glimpse perfection.

30 × 40 inch, a.k.a. 77 × 102 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

Fade to Black Original Painting

Fade to Black

The 3rd Law of Thermodynamics states that all systems move from order to chaos. Entropy. That order cannot be restored without the addition of outside energy. We are the energy. Accept the inevitable fade to chaos. Accept that change is the only constant. Most importantly, step into your energy and take action to keep our world from falling apart. We are not far off, I fear. But we have the power to reverse even the most fundamental laws of nature. The power to cease the perpetual fade to black. Be the light.

30 × 30 inch, a.k.a. 77 × 77 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

Levels Jerry, Levels Original Painting

Levels Jerry, Levels

Cosmo Kramer was onto something. It’s all about levels. Levels and layers upon layers and levels of vibrating strings, particle matter, even the fabric of space and time are layered into independent and mutually inclusive levels of the microcosm of unseen forces. Independent or dependently contingent to form the unseen. Well… shit. I don’t know. Ya gotta ask the Cosmos.

Original Piece: 16 × 20 inch, a.k.a. 41 × 51 cm (1.5 inch frame stretched canvas)

Quantum Strings Original Painting

Quantum Strings

Connected, vibrating strings through all dimensions. Somehow, this is what reality could be. “String” is the word we give to the unknown link across space and time animating existence, but beyond current human perspective or comprehension. “Vibration,” like light, is pervasive in the universe—only observable when reflecting or resonating with another. The link between quantum and Newtonian physics is shrouded somewhere in this mystery of vibration and resonance. Or maybe it’s electromagnetism. But probability says: I’ve got no clue.
